Model to be judged on conformation, grooming, and presentation. Pattern to be judged on execution and presentation. Horses may be presented in a bridle or halter.

Hunter Horse 

To be judged on movement, manners, and form over fences. No martingales in flat classes. Jumps may be taken at a trot/intermediate gait or canter.

English Pleasure

To be judged on manners and suitability. No martingales permitted. Test may ask for an extension of gait, collection of gait, backing several steps, or following a simple pattern (no jumping).

Western Pleasure

To be judged on manners and suitability. No tie downs permitted. Horses in snaffle bits may be ridden two handed. Test may ask for an extension of gait, collection of gait, backing several steps, or following a simple pattern.

Equitation/Horsemanship

To be judged on rider’s form, execution, and harmony with horse. To be ridden in english or western tack. Western horses in a snaffle may be ridden two handed. No martingales or tie downs permitted. Test may require: dropping of stirrups, backing several steps, an extension or collection of gait, turn on the haunches or forehand, or a simple pattern.

Young Rider

Open to riders under eighteen years of age by calendar year. To be ridden in english or western tack. Western horses in a snaffle may be ridden two handed. No martingales or tie downs permitted. Helmets must be worn by all riders regardless of discipline.

Champion/Reserve Young Rider

 

In Harness

Jog carts/quick hitch harnesses permitted. Open or Closed bridle. Will call for a slow trot, working trot, and strong trot. These may be performed at the pace/intermediate gait, but horse must be consistent in gait (i.e., only pacing or only trotting). To be judged on movement and manners. Reinsmanship class will have a small pattern and will be judged on movement, manners, as well as driver’s skill and execution of pattern.

Fresh Off the Track

Open only to active racehorses or horses that last raced/made a qualifying attempt from July 1, 2023-present day. To be ridden in english or western tack. Western horses in a snaffle may be ridden two handed. No martingales or tie downs permitted. Jog carts/quick hitch harnesses permitted in harness class. Model class may be presented in a bridle or halter.

Hunter Under Saddle 2 Gait

Begin tracking left at walk. Walk for 15 seconds, then trot for 20 seconds. Come to a walk, change direction, and walk for 15 seconds. Trot for 20 seconds, then come to a walk for a few steps before halting.

Walk for 15 seconds, then slow trot 15 seconds. Working trot for 15 seconds, then a strong trot for 15 seconds. Walk for a few steps before halting. A header may be used.

Dressage Test of Choice

Letter markers of some kind must be used! Film from "C". Declare test choice in video title. ANY Dressage test of any kind (classical, western, in harness, eventing, etc) may be used so long as you correctly specify which test it is.
